There is no doubt that Skyrim is a game full of bother wonders and dangers for you find. While exploring, you will run across many dangerous encounters, and depending on how unlucky you are, you may contract one of the game's many diseases.
For the most part, diseases are in the game to make your life harder, and if you don't cure them, your character will suffer from side effects such as reduced stamina recovery. There are quite a few diseases that you can contract when running around Skyrim. Most of them come from traps and animals, but a few can only be contracted from special enemies. Below is every disease in the game and what it will do to your character:

|Rattles|| ||You will gain back stamina 50% slower.|
|Witbane|| ||You will gain back magica 50% slower.|
In addition to this, you can drink out of the Bloodspring that's added into the Dawnguard DLC for a chance to get any diseases aside from Lycanthropy.
How to Cure Diseases in Skyrim
There are a variety of ways to cure most of the diseases above; here are all the ways you can cure diseases in Skyrim:
- Potion of Cure Disease.
- Cooking and Eating Garlic Bread.
- Eating a Hawk Feather.
- Interacting With Diety Shrines.
- Going to the Temple of Mara.
- Visiting the Vigilants of Stendarr.
Outside of vampirism, diseases are all pretty easy to get rid of. If you wish to cure vampirism, you will need to see Falion who is located in Markarth. Similarly, you must do the Companion quest line to cure Lycanthropy.
