PlayStation might still be trying to come up with its own version of Xbox Game Pass, but that doesn't mean the platform has nothing to offer in that regard. There's a reason 13.4 million of you already own a PS5. Among other things, PlayStation gives all of its PS Plus subscribers free games every month. Not just for 30 days, but to keep forever. Well, for as long as you have a PS Plus subscription.
Since November is nearing its end, an announcement as to what will be offered for free in December is right around the corner. However, as has become customary at this point, French website Dealabs has leaked the titles slightly ahead of schedule. While the line-up is yet to be confirmed by PlayStation, Dealabs is currently three for three when it comes to these leaks, boasting 100% accuracy ever since it started revealing the games ahead of time back in September.
As for which games will supposedly be available through PS Plus this December, there will once again be one title for PS5 and two more that can be downloaded and played on both PS5 and PS4. December's PS5 game will apparently be Godfall which launched alongside the console back in November of last year. The two PS4 games will be Mortal Shell and Lego DC Super-Villains.
PlayStation Plus's line-ups are often met with mixed reviews depending on what is offered up, even though the games are always free. November's free games actually include more titles than usual as PlayStation threw some VR titles in there to celebrate its headset's anniversary. Nothing for VR in December, unfortunately, unless Dealabs' leak is wrong for the first time.
The only thing Dealabs doesn't share is when exactly the games will be available. It should also be noted once again that despite the site's track record, December's line-up could be different from the one above. If it is correct, the likely launch date for the line-up will be December 7, 2021. If you haven't claimed November's free games, which include Knockout City and The Walking Dead VR, then do it now before they return to full price.
